58th Annual General Meeting of the BDSW in Berlin

On May 22, 2025, the 58th Annual General Meeting of the Federal Association of the Security Industry (BDSW) took place in Berlin – a key industry event that once again set important impulses for the future of the security sector. The Safety Line Security & Service GmbH was represented on-site by its management, Matthias Herteux and Daniela Gröbel-Becker.

A strong start in the heart of Berlin

Already on the evening before the event, we traveled to Berlin and checked into our rooms at the Hotel DoubleTree by Hilton Berlin Ku'damm, this year's conference venue. This allowed us to start the event punctually and well-prepared on Thursday morning – with great anticipation for exciting lectures, inspiring conversations, and new impulses for our daily work in the security industry.

„Quo vadis Germany as a business location?“ – A motto with foresight

This year's meeting was held under the motto „Quo vadis Germany as a business location?“. High-profile speakers from politics and business highlighted the current challenges and perspectives for the German economy – impressively demonstrating how closely the security industry is linked to the overall economic development.

An emotional highlight: Honoring the “Employees of the Year”

A particularly moving moment was the honoring of three security personnel who were recognized for their brave and professional actions in extraordinary situations. This award underscores the enormous social responsibility that security staff assume every day – and makes us proud to be part of this industry.

Leadership Change in the Association: Werner Landstorfer Takes the Helm

A key topic of the assembly was the re-election of the BDSW executive board. After twelve years at the helm, Gregor Lehnert did not stand for re-election and was honored with the title Honorary President. With 86% of the votes, Werner Landstorfer, Managing Director at Securitas, was elected the new President. He will be supported by a strong team of re-elected and new Vice Presidents – including, for the first time, a female Vice President: Nora Rauch.

In a relaxed atmosphere, new contacts were made, experiences exchanged, and joint perspectives for the future of the security industry developed. This included a personal exchange between Matthias Herteux and Nora Rauch.
