Our commitment to leading security associations: The security industry is an indispensable part of our society – and yet its importance is often underestimated by the public. At Safety Line Security & Service GmbH, we actively work to change that. Through our membership in key industry associations, we strengthen our own position and contribute to the development and professionalization of this underrepresented sector.
Why is association work more than just membership for us?
The security industry faces complex challenges: digitalization, skills shortages, increasing requirements for data protection and compliance. To effectively address these developments, we need strong networks, common standards, and a clear voice towards politics and the public. This is exactly where we come in – with our active involvement in four key associations of the security industry.
The Federal Association of the Security Industry (BDSW) is one of the most important representatives of the industry's interests in Germany. It advocates for fair conditions, high quality standards, and the recognition of the security sector as a system-relevant industry. As a member, we benefit from a strong network that promotes exchange with politics, authorities, and businesses – and thus also supports our daily work.
The Federal Association of Medium-Sized Security Companies (BVMS) specifically represents the interests of medium-sized security firms – the very companies that form the backbone of the industry. Our membership enables direct exchange with other businesses facing similar challenges and goals. Together we develop practical solutions and enhance the visibility of SMEs in the security industry.
The Alliance for Security in Business (ASW) connects companies, authorities, and research institutions to identify security risks early and address them together. Topics such as economic protection, counterintelligence, and crisis management are central here. As an active member, we contribute our expertise and help shape strategic security issues at the national level.
The Association for Business Security (VSW) sees itself as a practical partner for companies when it comes to business-related security. As members, we benefit from a strong network of security officers, authorities, and experts that promotes exchange on current threats and protective measures. The VSW offers solid information, training, and recommendations that help us identify risks early and continuously improve our security concepts. Through our involvement in the VSW, we not only strengthen our own security expertise, but also contribute to the resilience of the entire economy.
Our conclusion: Taking responsibility – shaping the future together
For us, association work is simply a duty – it’s part of the job. Period. We exchange ideas with others, share knowledge, learn from one another, and work together on standards that move the industry forward. This way, we help ensure that the security industry is strong today and continues to play an important role tomorrow – visible, recognized, and future-proof.
