Many residential high-rise buildings – particularly in the premium segment – have their own mailroom. This is fully organised and managed as part of our concierge service.
A single building can house up to 2,000 residents. This results in an enormous volume of parcels – often more than 200 deliveries per day from a wide range of courier services. Collaboration with delivery drivers is not always seamless.
Our responsibilities and challenges
- Recording all parcels: Despite delivery confirmations already provided by DHL, Amazon & others, all consignments must be registered internally via a dedicated parcel app. Depending on the level of activity at reception, this can be a genuine challenge.
- Efficient storage organisation: A well-designed storage system allows quick access when a resident wishes to collect their parcel.
- Returns management: Returns are prepared promptly in order to make optimal use of storage space.
- Communication regarding bulky items: For particularly large or heavy deliveries, close coordination with residents is essential to ensure swift collection.
- Documentation and handover: All special cases, uncertainties or specific requests are recorded in the daily report and carefully handed over to the next shift – ensuring no information is lost.
